Yaşar Masal

Burkar içimi bir sızı içim boğulur
Sanki peri padişahının kızı
Bu kadar naz, sabır kalmaz
Etme ne olur

Sarkar içime bir hasret içimde durur
Sanki anka kuşu musun mübarek
Kavurup kasıp, sırra kadem basıp
Gitme ne olur

Masal bu ya oldu ya
Cezbime tutuldu ya kaçma
Böyle biri karşına kaç kere çıkar

Geldi deli efkarın içimi sardı
Gir sinemin sinemin içine yar
Bak yaş oldun didemin ucunda varsın
Ak sinemin sinemin içini sar

Burkar içimi bir sızı içim boğulur
Sanki peri padişahının kızı
Bu kadar naz, sabır kalmaz
Etme ne olur

Bu hayal meyal masal hep okuduğum mu
Seni ejderhanın elinden alıp koruduğum mu
Hani kahramanlar gibi sevecekken seni
Masal bitti yaş akacak bak farketmedin mi?

Geldi deli efkarın içimi sardı
Gir sinemin sinemin içine yar
Bak yaş oldun didemin ucunda varsın
Ak sinemin sinemin içini sar

Yalnız varsız demektir
Elsiz kolsuz demektir
Kalan yalnız kalırsa
Giden insafsız demektir

Geldi deli efkarın içimi sardı
Gir sinemin sinemin içine yar
Sen bitmişsin kuşlar gider
Dostlar gitmiş
Bir varmışsın, bir yokmuşsun...

A pain sprains my inner body, my heart is squeezed.
It is as if she was the fairy tale princess.
This much feigned reluctance will run out of patience.
Please some pity…

A feeling of longing is hung into me, it stays in me.
It is as if she was the phoenix, blessed thing.
Please do not leave,
by destroying and by leaving no trace.

This is a fairy tale, it happened once.
It was caught into my attraction, do not run away.
How many more times are you going to run into a person like this?

Your crazy thoughts and covered my inner heart.
My lover, penetrate into my heart.
Look, you turned into a tear at the tip of my eye.
Flow, and cover my inner heart.

A pain sprains my inner body, my heart is squeezed.
It is as if she was the fairy tale princess.
This much feigned reluctance will run out of patience.
Please some pity…

Is this the usual fairy tail that I have kept reading?
Is this the one that I saved you from the dragon?
So just when I was going to be with you just like the heroes in it.
The fairy tale is over, I will burst into tears, did not you notice?

A feeling of longing is hung into me, it stays in me.
It is as if she was the phoenix, blessed thing.
Please do not leave,
by destroying and by leaving no trace.

A lonely person is one without present (existence)
A lonely person is one with no hands and arms.
If a left person stays lonely,
it means that the leaving person is ruthless.

Your crazy thoughts and covered my inner heart.
My lover, penetrate into my heart.
You are over; the birds leave.
Friends left.
Once upon a time you existed, you don’t anymore…

O beni prenses, peri saniyor...

NIL:
O beni prenses peri sanıyor
Ne hata yapsam geri sarıyor
Mitolojiden biri sanıyor
Bendeki de saç o taç görüyor

Her bir gidişim güneşin batışı
çiçekler böceklerdir hep arkadaşı
Sarılırsam eğer kalbi duracak
Birgün gidersem bilmez n'apıcak
Ooo bilmez n'apıcak
Ooo bilmez n'apıcak

O beni prenses peri sanıyo
Ne hata yapsam geri sarıyo
Mitolojiden biri sanıyo
Bendeki de saç o taç görüyo

Hollywood kızlari hepsi hikaye
Benim gibi var mı, gösterin bir tane
Hiçbi' şey yapmasam da tarih beni yazar
Takılıp düşersem olucak o da nazar
Ooo olcak o da nazar
Ooo olcak o da nazar

O beni prenses peri sanıyor
Ne hata yapsam geri sarıyor
Mitolojiden biri sanıyor
Bendeki de saç o taç görüyor

O beni prenses peri sanıyo
Ne hata yapsam geri sarıyo
Mitolojiden biri sanıyo
Bendeki de saç o taç görüyo

AYBEN:
Aşkın gözü kördür o'ysa sakat
Kalbini hep kırarım kalbi sakatat
Bende karizma yerle bir
Fakat ben herşey değilim oğlum

Kontak kuramadık hatamı takmadı
Kırıldı kaçmadı kraliçe ben değilim anlamadı
Başına taç etti kırmızı halıları hak etmiyorum
Bu tacı geri al

Mükemmel değilim ne de bir çiçek
Ben incinmem korkma hepsi bitecek
Nazar boncuklarını al bir ölücem
Afrodit ben değilim bu bi gerçek

Tahtı istemedim geri yolla bi' zahmet
Ben hep geç kalırım bekle bi' müddet
Ellerim bile çirkin benim
Ben en iyisi değilim bunu hazmet!

NIL:
O beni prenses peri sanıyo
Ne hata yapsam geri sarıyo
Mitolojiden biri sanıyo
Bendeki de saç o taç görüyo

O beni prenses peri sanıyo
Ne hata yapsam geri sarıyo
Mitolojiden biri sanıyo
Bendeki de saç o taç görüyo

Sihirli bi' güzelliğim yok o beni peri sanıyo
Hangi hatayı yapsam silip yine geri sarıyo
Kalbini kırsam da beni kusursuz biri sanıyo
Bendeki de saç o taç görüyo

Ne esprilerim komik, ne doğru dediklerim
Bu sarkıyı yazdım ya dahi miyim neyim?

Translation

He thinks I am a princess or a fairy…
Whatever mistake I make, he rewinds…
He thinks I am a character from mythology…
I have regular hair; he sees it as a crown.

Moments I leave is sunset for him.
Flowers and bugs are all his friends.
His heart stops beating whenever I give him a hug.
I wonder how he will end up if I leave him one day.

Hollywood girls are nothing compared to me…
Is there anyone like me, show me!
History will write about me even if I do nothing.
If I get trapped and fall down, he will get affected from evil eye.

Love is blind yet disabled.
I break his heart yet his heart is pluck.
My charisma is ruined.
But, hey listen to me, I am not anything.

We could not contact, he did not mind.
He got his heart broken, but did not give up, he did not understand I am not the queen.
I do not deserve the red carpets, and the value…
Take this crown back!

I am neither perfect nor a flower.
No worries, I am not going to get hurt, it will be over.
Ohhh please get these evil eyes back.
I am not Aphrodite, this is the truth!

I did not ask for the throne, please send it to me back.
I am always late, please wait for me.
My hands are ugly.
Get this! I am not the best!

I am not a magical beauty, he thinks I am a princess.
Whatever mistake I make, he deletes and rewinds…
Whenever I break his heart, he thinks I am perfect.
I have regular hair; he sees it as a crown.

Neither my jokes are funny, nor are my statements true.
I wrote this song, am I a genius or what?

Piety & God Consciousness (Taqwa)

Bismillah,
The word Taqwa is sort of difficult to translate into English as it is usually translated as “fear.” However the word Taqwa in Arabic refers to fear of Allah due to being aware and conscious of His presence. So I will use the word Taqwa and I will inform you now that it means both piety and fear due to God-consciousness.
Allah says in the Quran, ”O you who believe! Have Taqwa of Allah as He deserves it.” (3:102) He also says, ”So have Taqwa of Allah as much as you can…” (64:16) He also mentions, ”And whosoever has Taqwa of Allah, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him (sources) he never could imagine…” (65:2, 3)
The prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, was asked, ”O Messenger of Allah! Who is the most honorable amongst mankind?” He, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, said, ”The most honorable of them is one who is the most pious and God-fearing of them. (i.e. Has the most Taqwa)” (Bukhari and Muslim)
It is narrated that the prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, used to say:

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَاءَ
”Allaahumma innee as-alukal hudaa wat-tuqaa wal-‘afaafa wal-ghinaa” (O Allah I ask You for guidance, Taqwa, chastity and self sufficiency). (Muslim)

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
